My birthday is in two days--on July 15th--and NOT LIKE YOU is being released the next day, July 16th, although I know for a fact that it's in some stores already.

It's time for CONTESTS!

There are three contests you can enter:


1) Mother-Daughter Stories Contest

Send me your funniest or most tragic or most outrageous mother-daughter story to win a signed copy of Not Like You. Stories can also be quirky or poignant--any mother-daughter experience that you think will move readers to laugh or cry or think about the mother-daughter relationship in a new way.

Contest guidelines:

1. 500 words or less
2. True stories preferred, but fictional stories will be considered
3. Indicate whether you give permission for your story to be posted on my web site and blogs.
4. Deadline: October 1, 2007
5. Prizes awarded: October 15, 2007

2) TeensReadToo Contest

3) Guess This Musical Contest

As a high school student, I was a member of the tap-dancing chorus in a well-known musical.
